Frequently Asked Questions

  • All students completing degree requirements are required to complete the application for program completion by March 1

This form and additional information can be found on the Registrar’s Program Completion & Commencement webpage.

Once a student completes this online form, students are placed on the commencement eligibility list and will receive the official RSVP to attend the commencement ceremony.

  • The RSVP form will be sent via CSP email to all eligible students (those who completed the application for program completion) in early March.  This form must be submitted by March 23.

  • Students who plan to participate in the upcoming May ceremony will receive ordering instructions in early April. If you are not planning to attend a future ceremony, you will also have an opportunity to secure your keepsake items.

  • Each student will receive at least 6 guest tickets. This number may increase after the university reviews RSVP submissions, COVID protocol and venue capacity in late March.

Graduates will receive an email in mid April that will include the final number of guest tickets that can be secured and instructions on how to claim them.

  • Undergraduate students who complete 60 or more credits at CSP and meet the following GPA requirements will earn Latin honors:

The honors earned, if any, at the time your degree is awarded will be printed on your transcript and diploma. If your degree is awarded after the commencement ceremony and your estimated honors changed, you may request to exchange your medallion or pin by contacting the Registrar’s Office at 651-641-8233 or registrar@csp.ed

  • YES. The Registrar’s Office will begin reviewing student records for degree awarding after final grades are posted to the student record (one week after the end of the term).  This process can take 2-3 weeks.

The university prints diplomas monthly and sends a congratulatory email once that process is completed.  An official transcript can be used as proof of degree.  We highly encourage you to check your unofficial transcript prior to requesting the official.

Diplomas will be mailed to the permanent address on your student record.
